My contributions to the Research!America 2024-2025 Civic Engagement Microgrant Program centered on my active role in the Brain Awareness Week committee. While I was not a grant writer, I was integral to the planning and execution of this impactful initiative. I played a key part in the organization of all three core events, helping to shape their content, structure, and logistical framework. My responsibilities included coordinating event timelines, securing volunteers, and ensuring each event's activities aligned with the grant's goals of promoting public engagement with brain science. Beyond the planning phase, I was a dedicated volunteer during all three events, directly interacting with the public, explaining complex scientific concepts in an accessible way, and fostering a sense of curiosity and enthusiasm for research. My efforts ensured the events ran smoothly and achieved their intended purpose of civic engagement and scientific outreach.
