The School of Public and Population Health (SPPH) at UTMB is a CEPH-accredited hub for interdisciplinary research, education, and practice advancing public and population health. Its four departments—Bioethics & Health Humanities, Biostatistics & Data Science, Epidemiology, and Population Health & Health Disparities—reflect a shared commitment to improving health outcomes, shaping policy, and training future leaders. SPPH combines clinical, quantitative, social, and humanistic methods to study health and illness factors and strengthen Texas communities and beyond. The school also supports a growing division in Aerospace Medicine and several emerging centers focused on global initiatives, health services, and justice-involved populations.
