Dr. Grant is an Assistant Professor at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) in Galveston, Texas, and the Director of Pharmacogenomics and Molecular Genetics at the John Sealy Diagnostic Center. With an uncommon educational background that includes Doctor of Medicine from Texas Tech University Health Science Center and Juris Doctorate from Gonzaga University School of Law, Dr. Grant brings a unique interdisciplinary perspective on his work.
Dr. Grant is actively involved in pioneering projects at UTMB focused on pharmacogenomics and molecular pathology. A major focus within those fields is improving communication of laboratory results to patients and healthcare providers. With an interest in regulatory policy, Dr. Grant is actively involved in impacting laboratory regulation.
