Personal profile
Research Interests
My research focuses on advancing cell-based and biomaterial-assisted therapies for musculoskeletal regeneration. With a foundation in cell therapy and tissue regeneration, my work integrates stem cell biology, biomaterials engineering, and translational science to address orthopedic trauma and growth plate injuries. At the University of Texas Medical Branch, I investigate mesenchymal stem cell (MSC)–based strategies and scaffold design to enhance cartilage and bone repair.
Beyond skeletal regeneration, my research extends to wound healing, soft tissue injury, and infected wounds under delayed care conditions, emphasizing the influence of systemic comorbidities on repair outcomes. Collectively, my goal is to develop clinically relevant regenerative approaches that restore structure and function in complex musculoskeletal and trauma-related conditions.
