Project: Research project

Project Details

Description

Dr. Shannan Rossi will serve as the PI for subaward activities to be executed at UTMB. The scope of these activities is limited to animal and laboratory experiments and training that require BSL2, BSL3, ABSL2, and/or ABSL3 facilities and expertise. The purpose of these experiments is to generate convalescent murine sera for assessing heterologous alphavirus cross-neutralization. Under this subaward, Dr. Rossi will: 1. Oversee experiments and activities to be executed at UTMB. 2. Oversee laboratory personnel at UTMB involved in executing required experiments. 3. Maintain all regulatory and compliance documentation pertaining to animal work in the BSL3, BSL2, ABSL2 and ABSL3. This includes all NOU, IACUC, biosafety documentation and communications with Biosafety and ARC. 4. Ensure that BSL and/or ABSL trainings are provided as needed. 5. Ensure that any shipments of resulting materials are prepared in accordance with institutional, federal, and international rules and regulations. 6. Ensure that all laboratory records and data generated underfunded experiments are maintained and readily accessible as needed.
