Description
Devote full-time work on your AMR-TPT project; full-time is defined as a minimum of 40 hours per week.
• Attend the weekly Keck Seminars, held each Friday, 4-5pm, during the academic year at the BioScience Research Collaborative (BRC) (a max of two absences are permitted per semester).
• Attend the monthly GCC-AMR special speaker presentations (details to follow).
• Attend a minimum of TWO Professional Development activities, classes, seminars or workshops each year (e.g. Communication Skills and Scientific/Grant writing, Career Advancement, Management & Life-Work Balance).
• Attend a GCC Postdoctoral Mentor Training workshop (offered annually).
• Participate in the mentorship of a predoctoral student in the UTHealth Molecular Basis of Infectious Diseases fellowship program.
• Attend and present your research poster at the Keck Annual Research Conference (October 25, 2024).
• Attend and present your research poster at the Texas Medical Center Annual Antibiotic Resistance and Stewardship Conference (January 2025) and help chair a session at this event.
• Submit an abstract to appropriate scientific meetings and workshops at the national and regional level, such as ASMMicrobe. Participation at these meetings is highly encouraged. Some travel funds are provided with prior approval from the c administrator.
• Submit a written progress report, Individual Development Plan (IDP), and course transcripts/certificates at 6 months and at the end of each appointment year.
• ***Trainees re-appointed to a 2nd year must participate in a grant writing workshop. This could include a K99/R00 workshop or other grant writing.
