Description
UTMB will procure up to 740 mice, 810 hamsters, 640 guinea pigs, 117 ferrets, 60 African green monkeys, and 60 cynomolgus monkeys and perform studies to support the Aims below. Test articles will be provided by the sponsor. The main objective of the Animal Models and Vaccine Evaluation Scientific Core is to evaluate vaccines and monoclonal antibody (mAb) based treatments identified in RP1 and RP2 against paramyxoviruses, arenaviruses, and phleboviruses under BSL-3/ABSL-3 and BSL-4/ABSL-4 containment.
