Project Details
Description
The study will specifically focus on the aging populations in the United States and Mexico, with an emphasis on analyzing and comparing the impact of life-course factors on cognitive health in these diverse groups. In the U.S., particular attention will be given to the Mexican-American population, a significant and growing demographic group. This focus not only provides a deeper understanding of the cognitive aging process in a major minoritized group but also offers a unique opportunity to explore the cross-cultural nuances in the predictors of cognitive health. The inclusion of data from Mexico further enriches this comparison by incorporating perspectives from a developing country, where educational and occupational experiences might differ significantly from those in the U.S.
