Project Details
Description
Tasks involve engagement with SRTR in special projects to advance the SRTR goals and objectives as requested by SRTR leadership, participation in various projects to enhance and improve SRTR websites as requested, sharing learnings from individual research as appropriate to enhance SRTR web offerings and participation in design and execution of the SRTR/OPTN Annual Data Report (ADR), and in the design of meetings for each chapter of the ADR with relevant authors and SRTR staff, including working with SRTR staff to plan and organize the meetings.
In carrying out tasks described above, the Senior Staff for Special Projects will represent the interests of SRTR and HRSA, which may on occasion conflict with their own personal opinions. To avoid conflicts of interest with the SRTR-HRSA contract, the Senior Staff for Special Projects will not serve as a member of the Board of Directors of the AST or the ASTS. Similarly, the Senior Staff for Special Projects will not serve on the OPTN Board of Directors or OPTN committees during their tenure with SRTR. Exceptions can be considered with HRSA approval. Serving on the boards of other societies or organizations is generally acceptable, e.g., the board of the ASN, AAKP National Kidney Foundation, etc. Outside of SRTR activities, the Senior Staff for Special Projects has the right to express opinions on public issues, as long as doing so does not interfere with the ability of HRSA or the US Government to conduct their business and comments are prefaced with a disclaimer that the opinions are those of the speaker and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the SRTR, HRSA, the Department of Health and Human Services, or the US Government. All requests to speak on behalf of the SRTR/HRSA shall be approved in writing by the SRTR COR in advance by submitting requests through the SRTR Director who will obtain HRSA approval to represent the SRTR.
