Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapter

Abstract

Early reports of adverse outcomes after bariatric surgery prompted changes that have included accreditation programs and the careful delineation of elements for program success. Emphasis is placed upon the program team and the processes. This chapter discusses the rationale for these changes. It then delineates the current accreditation programs and their categories and requirements. Finally, the elements of a successful program are carefully described.
