Abstract
Ischemic stroke is a very common cause of disability and patient mortality with a profound social and economic impact. Neurooncologic patients are at increased risk for central nervous system (CNS) infarcts. A variety of neuroimaging techniques are available for rapid evaluation, diagnosis, and triage of patients with CNS infarcts. The imaging findings of ischemic stroke, advantages and disadvantages of neuroimaging including multimodal computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging are discussed in this chapter.
