Cervical cancer and tumor markers

Abstract

Objective: In our study, we aimed that it was evaluated tumor markers related cervical cancer with articles in literature for cervical cancer early diagnosis and clinical follow-up after the primary treatment, for it would be guided for new studies on tumor markers of human cervical cancer. Material ve Method: It was used to pubmed database for our study. It was entered cervix uteri, cancer and tumor marker as keywords. Studies were taken in study according to articles have english language, related tumor markers of cervical cancer and at least 50 patients. When pubmed database was searched, it was found 386 articles. Those article abstracts were evaluated then 61 articles were taken in our study according to study selection criterias. Conclusion: While there were a lot tumor markers as biochemical, immunohistochemical and genetic compound about cervical carcinoma's clinicalpathologic findings and prognosis, an ideal marker for cervical cancer has not been yet.
