Abstract
The neuropharmacological consequence of the interaction of cocaine with central monoamine-containing neuronal systems has only recently been investigated using electrophysiological recording techniques. Joan Lakoski and Kathryn Cunningham analyse cocaine-induced effects on dopamine, norepinephrine and 5-HT neuronal responses recorded in vivo and in vitro and discuss their common features.
