Abstract

Rapid detection of Orthopoxvirus by semi-nested PCR directly from clinical specimens: A useful alternative for routine laboratories. The article to which this Corrigendum refers was published in Journal of Medical Virology 82:692–699 (2010). 1 While checking laboratory files related to the manuscript published at Journal of Medical Virology 82:692–699 (2010) we realized that we made a mistake during the preparation of Figure 2. Some components of the panel regarding the semi-nested PCR sensitivity assays (urine, without BSA) were inadvertently replaced by a wrong, duplicated figure. We prepared an updated version of Figure 2 panel including the correct gel image. The sensitivity of the semi-nested PCR in urine, without BSA, remains the same described in the paper (103 PFU). 2 Figure (Figure presented.) For this mistake, we would like to state our apologies.
