Abstract

The authors regret about a mistake in the structures of the O-polysaccharide of Escherichia coli O87. The α-D-Galp residue present in this polysaccharide is 3-substituted, and not 4-substituted as reported in the original version of the manuscript. The authors would like to apologise for any inconvenience caused. The following is the correct structure of the O-polysaccharide of E.
