Abstract
Identification of sites of phosphorylation in protein kinase was carried out using FT-ICR MS and MS/MS. A fast load capillary LC apparatus was occupied to a 9.4 T micro-EST FT-ICR mass spectrometer with external ion accumulation. The combination provides a powerful tool for the identification of peptides present at low stoichiometric ratios within complex mixtures. The use of electron capture dissociation for the location of phosphorylated residues was also evaluated.
