Highly sensitive measurement of changes in optical properties of scattering media with OCT

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contribution

Abstract

We studied capability of OCT technique to detect small changes in scattering coefficient of media simulating tissues (aqueous suspensions of polystyrene microspheres and milk). The scattering coefficient of the phantoms was altered by varying glucose concentration. Highly sensitive measurement of the scattering coefficient changes (1.5%) was obtained with OCT system.
