Abstract
A proteomics approach was proposed for the profiling of protein expression in normal and colorectal cancer cells, and identification of cancer specific protein markers. Colorectal cancer specific protein markers were identified using 2D differential in-gel electrophoresis (DIGE) in combination with laser capture microdissection (LCM) and mass spectrometry. Protein expression was quantitated by the fluorescence of labelled protein in gel images. More than 20 proteins were identified in colorectal carcinoma.
