Abstract

The Journal of Aging and Health was launched in 1989 by SAGE Publications to provide a forum for publication of research findings related to health and aging by behavioral and social scientists, epidemiologists, demographers, social workers, nursing and medical researchers, and others from related disciplines. A sampling of research articles demonstrates the important of family factors to aging and health outcomes. As the population of both developed and developing nations continue to age the field of family gerontology will also grow and the Journal of Aging and Health will welcome relevant submissions.
