    Abstract

A nasal septum perforation occurred as a sequela of a LeFort I total maxillary osteotomy. Although this is not a serious complication, it has the potential of being an annoyance to the patient. Low resection of the maxilla at the junction of the nasal crest and floor of the nose is recommended to prevent this complication.
