Abstract

Management of post-traumatic facial deformity Post-traumatic facial deformity management of is very challenging. The goal of the reconstruction is similar to the primary repair; restore function and preinjury form. The ideal management starts with a comprehensive preoperative assessment and collection of data, followed by formulating a treatment plan that addresses the patient's complaints. There are several differences between primary repair and secondary revision of facial fracture, including lack of mobility of segments affected due to malunion (bony or fibrous), loss of stable reference points with subsequent reduction in the accuracy at the fracture junction. These differences necessitate a more elaborate exposure and Osteotomies of the facial skeleton Osteotomies of the facial skeleton to mobilize the segments.
