Abstract

This chapter describes the robotic enhanced-view totally extraperitoneal (eTEP) approach to retromuscular abdominal wall reconstruction, which has continued to gain traction. The fundamentals of eTEP, including pertinent anatomy and techniques such as the cross-over maneuver, are discussed. Furthermore, the retrorectus (Rives-Stoppa) and transversus abdominis release dissections are explained.
