Abstract
We have reported the purification of a unique set of small molecular weight glycoproteins in human urinary fractions isoelectrically focused between pI 4.5 and 6.1. The concentrations of five fragments from human basement membrane collagen were sufficient for amino acid analysis, immunological analysis, and in one case, preliminary analytical amino acid sequencing. These studies have continued and the present report describes some additional urinary constituents of the extracellular matrix protein and plasma fragments which cross-react with basement membrane.
