Abstract

Physicians are not generally familiar with medicolegal issues; however, they need to educate themselves about issues relevant to medical practice and patient care. Such an understanding assists physicians in repairing their interprofessional relationship with attorneys, better collaborate interprofessionally, and ultimately improve patient care and safety. The articles in this Medicolegal Edition of Pathology Case Reviews attempt to educate physicians in some of the important and dynamic areas of health care law.
