Abstract

In this report we present an obstetric patient and a gynecologic patient in whom leimyomata distorted the normal pelvic anatomy and led to symptoms of urinary retention. Clinical and sonographic findings in these women are presented and the possible mechanisms of urinary retention are reviewed.
